We focus on careers in designing, planning, managing, and maintaining buildings.  If you like to design, build, and tinker with tools and technology, Architecture and Construction may be the pathway for you.  Every student in the program begins with Principles of Construction. 

 

Our program is designed to give students the opportunity to explore their interests and aptitudes for a career in the construction industry. Students work in teams covering 20 construction trade areas.   Every student that takes a construction course does so because they want to actually experience what it is like to work in the industry. Reading about construction can help a student understand the concepts and theory, but practice is what really builds on the basics and improves skill and knowledge.  

 

Students who take this program throughout high school have a truly project based learning experience that can lead to certification and eventual employment in this field of study.
